India to support training of Parliamentary Research Institute personnel
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Senior Advisor to the Speaker of the
State Great Khural D.Lundeejantsan and Director of the Parliamentary Research
Institute of the Secretariat of the State Great Khural T.Bayarmaa met with
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to
Mongolia Mohinder Pratap Singh on October 13 to discuss cooperation between the
two sides.
Senior Advisor D.Lundeejantsan said the Parliamentary
Research Institute has an important role in ensuring that laws, resolutions and
other decisions passed by the Parliament are research-based and practical, underlining
the necessity of expanding its cooperation with local and foreign research
organizations. He then voiced his hope that the Indian side will provide
support in learning from India's experience in parliamentary research and
upskilling personnel in India.
Ambassador M.P.Singh expressed the readiness to open up
opportunities for cooperation in the field of parliamentary research, noting
that there is an opportunity to train and upskill personnel on full and partial
scholarships. The Ambassador also undertook to help the Parliamentary Research
Institute establish cooperation with Indian parliamentary research organizations
PRS, PRIDE, and the Parliament Library of India.
The sides agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the short future.
