Discussion takes place on comprehensive policy for early childhood development

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In partnership with UNICEF, the Ministry of Education and Science organized a consultative meeting on a comprehensive policy for the support of early childhood development on October 1.

 

Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, UNICEF and corresponding organizations participated in the meeting to discuss development and implementation of the comprehensive policy to support the development of children up to 6 years old, and provision of cross-sectoral partnership.

The participants exchanged views on the current situation regarding the education, health, food and nutrition, care, and protection of young children, the development programs for early childhood in the region of East Asia and the Pacific, good practices implemented by UNICEF in rural areas, and measures to be immediately implemented in order to create correlation between sectors, and came to the decision to establish a working group.
