Discussion takes place on pressing issues for startup businesses

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On September 7, the Standing Committee on Innovation and Online Policy organized a discussion under the theme, ‘Pressing issues for start-up businesses and state support’.

 

In his opening remarks, MP N.Uchral highlighted, “The 4th industrial revolution is currently underway at great speed. A country can develop if modern renovations and practices are introduced. Innovation and online policy should be considered as a part of the economy.”


Head of the Innovation and Technology Department at the Ministry of Education and Science D.Odgerel introduced the current policy and objectives set for innovation and technology, Founder of ‘Dreamers’ association of young entrepreneurs J.Zolzaya also did an introduction. Over 500 start-up businesses have joined the association, of which aims are to increase youth participation and business partnership, become a policy institute that work at collaborative solutions, and influence to decision-makers. 

 

Following the introductions, the participants exchanged views on matters such as financial issues for start-up businesses, issues regarding intellectual property, bureaucracy in civil service, and financing.

 

Head of the Standing Committee on Innovation and Online Policy N.Uchral, MPs D.Tsogtbaatar, G.Amartuvshin, G.Damdinnyam, officials of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the National Information Technology Park, and the Industrial Development Innovation Agency of the Capital City, and over 50 start-up business owners participated in the discussion.
