GMIT signs memorandum with Transwest Mongolia LLC

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology today has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Transwest Mongolia LLC. In the signing ceremony, heads of both parties discussed opportunities for further cooperation.
As a result, GMIT students now have an opportunity to get an internship at Transwest Mongolia LLC, a
leading mining and construction equipment distributor with exclusive KOMATSU
dealership rights, to be familiar with the company’s operations, to conduct
final study project, as well as to implement research projects together with
lecturers and engineers.
During the meeting, authorities of Transwest Mongolia
expressed its appreciation for the cooperation with newly developing
University, and that they are open to supporting students who are eager to learn.
As an authorized distributor of KOMATSU LTD in Mongolia,
Transwest Mongolia supplies mining, road, construction equipment from KOMATSU’s
factories in Germany, Japan and Canada directly to Mongolia and provides its
full maintenance. Therefore, it becomes an essential area for GMIT students and
lecturers to expand their practice, experiments and research.
