Foreign Minister meets ADB Country Director

N.Enkhtaivan met with ADB Country Director Pavit Ramachandran on August 25.
The Foreign Minister thanked the Asian Development Bank for
its valuable contribution to Mongolia's social and economic reforms over the
past 30 years and expressed willingness to cooperate in reducing the impact of
the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy and recovering the economy.
ADB Country Director Mr. Pavit Ramachandran said that the trade
plays a vital role in recovering economy and that the construction work in Altanbulag,
Borshoo and Bichigt border ports and Zamyn-Uud free trade zone, as well as the
introduction of e-border one-stop service, are underway within the framework of
the ADB's Regional Improvement of Border Services.
Noting that ADB’s next phase of cooperation in 2021-2024
would focus on increasing Mongolia’s competitiveness and diversifying its economy,
Mr. Pavit Ramachandran expressed interest in collaborating with the Foreign
Ministry to enhance Mongolia’s participation in regional and global economic
cooperation and integration.
