Deputy Foreign Minister receives Russian Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Munkhjin received today Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia and Head of the Diplomatic Corps in Ulaanbaatar I. K Azizov.
Ambassador I. K. Azizov congratulated Deputy Minister B.Munkhjin on his recent appointment and wished a success in his future endeavors. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on some issues of Mongolia-Russia relations, discussed joint activities planned for the second half of this year and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Russia which will mark next year.
Deputy Minister B.Munkhjin expressed his commitment to support the projects and activities being jointly implemented by the two countries in the framework of developing the comprehensive strategic partnership. He also stressed the importance of intensifying works that has been suspended due to the pandemic.
Ambassador I. K. Azizov reaffirmed his readiness to continue to work closely with the Foreign Ministry to strengthen the traditionally friendly relations between Mongolia and Russia, and expressed his views on some issues of bilateral relations.
