Prime Minister receives Japanese Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki yesterday, August 13. 


At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Kobayashi Hiroyuki congratulated Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh on his re-election and wished a success in his future endeavors.


Thanking the congratulatory letter received from Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh expressed his commitment to strengthen Mongolia-Japan Strategic Partnership and intensify the cooperation in economy, trade and investment sectors.



Noting the importance of cooperation of the countries in overcoming COVID-19 pandemic, Ambassador Kobayashi Hiroyuki presented Japanese government’s intention to support Mongolia within the framework of multilateral ties.


In turn, the Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador and stressed the need for close cooperation amid the current economic hardships caused by the pandemic.


Furthermore, the sides exchanged views on preparations for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and reaffirmed their active cooperation in the sphere of the UN and other international organizations.
