UB Governor's Office, JICA to cooperate on waste management amid COVID-19

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Japan International Cooperation
Agency (JICA) and UB Governor Office organized yesterday, August 14, an opening ceremony of
cooperation on the waste management countermeasure towards COVID-19.
Given the fact that the risk of COVID-19 pandemic is
increasing in Mongolia, ensuring reliable and safe waste management service is
inevitable for government and local authorities to protect public health and to
control the spread of virus.
The objective of the project is to conduct a series of training for workers in the field and raising awareness activities towards business entities as well as UB citizens. In addition to the abovementioned activities, the project will also create videos and leaflets. In the line of project implementation, related equipment for disinfection was provided.
