Meeting held for Mongolian students to study with Hungarian scholarship

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A meeting for providing information and counsel to Mongolian students, who have been selected to study with Hungarian scholarship, was held last Friday, July 31 at the National University of Mongolia.


Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Hungary in Mongolia Borbala Obrusanszky., Foreign Economic Attaché Attila Chukzai, Consul Kishne Kedesh Chilla and Acting Head of Foreign Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education and Science D.Gardi and Honorary Consul Ch.Gantulga were invited to the event.


This year marks 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Hungary. In 1957, the two nations concluded an agreement on cooperation in education and culture sectors.


Mongolia joined “Stipendium Hungaricum” fellowship program announced by the Government of Hungary, in 2013. As a part of the program, the Hungarian Government made a decision to increase the number of Mongolian students to receive its scholarship to 100 in 2015 and 200 in 2016. A total of 761 students have applied for the fellowship program this year.
