Mongolian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry convenes virtually
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On July 27, the
Mongolian-Turkish Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a virtual meeting co-chaired by the chamber’s Co-Chairs Ersin Kaska and S.Boldkhet. The meeting
was participated by Ambassador of Mongolia to Turkey R.Bold, Ambassador of Turkey
to Mongolia Ahmet Yazal, and over 40 Mongolian and Turkish companies engaged in
the industries of tourism, meat and meat product manufacturing, leather and hide processing, and pharmaceutics.
The Mongolian side made proposals to cooperate on the
Darkhan Leather and Hide Processing Complex Project, export Halal meat, import poultry
farming equipment, and learn from the country’s technological know-how. Mr. Ersin
Kaska said the Turkish side has decided to make investments in leather and hide
processing industry and is ready to cooperate in tourism and other areas of
common interest.
The sides noted that the establishment of the joint chamber, that had been initially decided on in 2013, but actually took place in 2020, contributes to the much-discussed effort to bring advance in bilateral commercial relations. In 2019, trade between the two countries amounted to USD 44 million.
