Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On July 17, the Governor’s Office of the Capital City reported that preparations are underway for 12 children’s camps located in green areas around Ulaanbaatar to open from July 20. From the total of 20 summer camps that regularly operate near the city, 13 camps submitted their request to run their operations this year.
A regulation on some measures to be taken on supporting the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic was issued by the Governor of the Capital City on June 30. Consequently, a temporary set of regulations on the operation of children’s summer camps during the pandemic was approved by the Deputy Prime Minister and the State Emergency Commission on July 3. In accordance with the regulations, a task force specially established to monitor the implementation and eliminate violations has conducted assessments on children’s summer camps located in the green areas of the capital city.
With one camp failing to pass the assessment, the average score for the camps stood at 74.6 percent. Thus, guidelines on eliminating the violation and recommended procedures have been delivered to each of the summer camps.
