Mongolian soldiers return home after participation in Victory Day Parade

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A contingent of 75 members of the Mongolian Armed Forces returned home by Il-76 aircraft of aerospace of the Russian Federation today, at 8:40 AM, after taking part in the Victory Day Parade in Moscow on June 24 in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.


The military servicemen were welcomed at Chinggis Khaan international airport with Covid-19 safety measures in place and put into 21-day quarantine upon arrival.


Defense ministers of the two countries agreed to have the soldiers participate in the parade, which President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin decided to hold on June 24, during their virtual meeting in May.
