20.3 km road opens in Khovd aimag

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The construction of a 20.3 km access road which connects capital of Khovd aimag’s Must soum to the western regional road network has been completed and opened on June 19.


Launched in March 2019,  the road was built by 'Khotgor zam' company with MNT 9.1 billion financing from the state budget and ADB’s Western Regional Road Corridor Investment Program. Relevant officials of the Ministry of Road and Transport Development have checked the construction quality.


It used to take Must soum residents 5-6 hours to reach the aimag capital and the new road reduces the travel time to 2-3 hours.
