Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Voter education video lessons dedicated to disabled people have been developed. In partnership with the General Election Commission, a team of the project “Voter citizen with hearing impairment” of the Parent-Teacher Association of Mongolia developed the video lessons based on their experience of nationwide training on voter education conducted in 2019 to citizens with hearing impairment and other citizens.

Hearing impaired citizens instructed the video lessons themselves and created it with sign language, subtitle and high quality of audio and video.

The project coordinator B.Yumjirdulam underlined that this is the first voter education video lesson, which was developed with initiation of hearing impaired citizens. "When we plan and develop anything to be adequate to the disabled people, it becomes more accessible to everyone. Therefore this series of video lessons will be accessible not only to people with visual, hearing and physical disabilities, but also to all voters."
