Foreign Minister meets Ambassador of Cuba

D.Tsogtbaatar met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the
Republic of Cuba to Mongolia Raul Delgado Concepcion on March 31 to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation and current issues.
Appreciating the Mongolian government’s prompt
precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19, the Ambassador of Cuba
voiced his willingness to join efforts in the fight against the global
pandemic and shared information about the measures the government of Cuba is
taking to contain the spread of COVID-19. It was informed that Cuba sent over
800 health workers to Italy, Spain, Andorra, Venezuela, and neighboring Latin
American and Caribbean countries.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic
relations between Mongolia and Cuba – the first country to establish diplomatic
ties with Mongolia from the Americas.
