Gastrointestinal endoscopy unit of first hospital renovated

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Health D.Sarangerel visited
the First Central Hospital to see some renovation works carried out there. The
hospital’s gastrointestinal endoscopy unit which was completely renovated in
late 2019 is now providing services in compliance with international standards.
The changing and x-ray imaging rooms have been newly set up and the renovation works allows to quickly perform
postoperative tests and treatment following liver transplantation.
Since its establishment in 1973, the endoscopy unit has gone through a number of technological upgrades in 2006, 2013, and 2016 and started performing around 14,000 endoscopy procedures in 2014.
