SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On January 7, CEO of the Mongolian Tourism
Association (MTA) D.Otgonbayar met with Grace Lo, Representative at the Taipei
Trade and Economic Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar, during her visit to
the representative office. At the meeting, the MTA CEO presented a letter of gratitude
to Ms. Grace Lo in recognition of the representative office’s contributions to
the development of tourism cooperation between the two sides.
Also, at the meeting, Ms. D.Otgonbayar said the number of Taiwanese tourists to Mongolia soared last year and that a larger number of Mongolians visited Taiwan in 2019 compared to the previous years, while underlining that the association will work on strengthening tourism cooperation and deepening the understanding between peoples of the two sides in the future.
Expressing her gratitude for highly appreciating the
representative office’s activities, Ms. Grace Lo agreed on the significance of
expanding tourism relations and cooperation and informed that the number of Taiwanese tourists heading for Japan, South Korea, and Russia has soared with the countries' introduction of visa free regimes and online visa application systems.
"It is best for Mongolia’s tourism sector to attract Taiwanese
visitors as they closely follow the laws and regulations of the countries they
visit. The number of Taiwanese tourist arrivals in Mongolia will surely escalate
further if facilitated visa requirements are introduced," said Ms. Grace
Lo.
