Secondary schools receive laboratory equipment

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ To provide students with scientific research-based basic education in mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering technology, laboratory equipment and teaching aids worth USD 4.3 million were presented to some 871 schools.


Under the Skills for Employment Project of the Asian Development Bank, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg and State Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection G.Unurbayar presented mathematics teaching aids to 555 schools, physics teaching aids to 134 schools, chemistry teaching aids to 100 schools, lab design and technology equipment to 82 schools and audio-video teaching aids to 316 schools.


In his remarks during the presentation ceremony, Minister Yo.Baatarbileg said the world is focusing on the development of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education and that certain actions are planned in the national education sector master plan for 2020-2030 to improve the learning environment and make beneficial investments.
