‘One City – One Standard’ to improve living standard of Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Kicking off 2020, Ulaanbaatar city today introduced some of the major works planned this year within the framework of ‘One City – One Standard’ year announced by the capital city governor.
Based on proposals and suggestions by submitted during ‘One City – One Standard’ consultation meeting held in November 2020 with participation of more than 2300 citizens, regulations conforming to international standards will be established in each and every aspects of life in Ulaanbaatar city for 2020, according to Ulaanbaatar city administration officials.
Governors and heads of administration units of Ulaanbaatar city are being challenged by their performance of work in a competition throughout this year with MNT 345 million budgeted for total prize money for them. The officials will take responsibility to oversee the effective implementation of standards and norms in each of their unit and eliminate violations and errors, if any.
As first measures to take within the ‘One City – One Standard’ goal, violations of fences of some 379 buildings in Ulaanbaatar that are breaching the safety requirements will be corrected by June 2020 as well as children playground standard will be put into force.
