Direct Trade Center put into operation in Taragt soum

Uvurkhangai /MONTSAME/. The projects, ‘Grassroots’ and ‘Agrobusiness Promotion Project: Improving income generation of farmers’, are currently being implemented in Uvurkhangai aimag with financing of MNT 34.2 million from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
In the framework of the JICA agrobusiness promotion project, a ‘Direct Trade Center’ has been established in Taragt soum of the aimag in aims of connecting suppliers with buyers without intermediaries and selling processed vegetables and value-added products. Furthermore, a sales center was established at the market of Arvaikheer soum, in which products of the local small and medium enterprises are being sold in the framework of the IFAD Project for Market and Pasture Management Development.
Trade centers for vegetables, and domestically produced goods are also planned to be established in the soums of Kharkhorin and Arvaikheer in the future.
