NEMA officials attend international conference on capacity building for DRR technology

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Government representatives and experts in the sectors of science, technology, and emergency from Mongolia, China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, and the Philippines are attending an international conference on capacity building for disaster risk reduction technology, co-organized by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea.
Senior Officer at the Disaster Management Department of the National Emergency Management Agency Ch.Lkhamjav, and specialist of the Geospatial and Technology Department T.Ulambaatar are representing Mongolia at the conference and they did a presentation on measures being taken by the national agency on building the capacity of disaster risk reduction technology. Discussions are being held on the capacity of the technology for reducing disaster risks, currently used technology, nationwide strategy on disaster risk reduction technology, pressing issues, and requirements.
