Capital city governor meets representatives of Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan

/MONTSAME/ On December 17, Governor of the capital city and Mayor of
Ulaanbaatar S.Amarsaikhan met with a delegation from the Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan
LLC.

Director of Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan Asemkan Duskuzhanov provided information on
the company’s bus factory, saying, “Established in 2007, Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan
cooperates with Daewoo Corporation. Our company domestically produce 40 percent
of the country’s buses and import chassis from South Korea”
“Inner and outer parts of the company’s buses are made of steel for the safety of passengers and the buses have wheelchair access and school buses have seats designed especially for children and equipped with security cameras and tools,” he added. Mr. Asemkan Duskuzhanov also noted that a bus repair facility will be established to provide services within the warranty period if Kazakhstan starts exporting buses to Ulaanbaatar.
Mayor
S.Amarsaikhan informed the Kazakhstani side that the Ulaanbaatar city
government attaches special significance to the public transport reform and has
got in touch with several bus manufacturers and suppliers to explore
opportunities. “Ulaanbaatar authorities are comparing the buses’ quality, the
companies’ manufacturing lead times, payment terms, as well as repair and
warranty services. The design and safety features of the products are of great
importance. We have talked to our local manufacturers. We will take into
account the design and quality of the buses, their compliance with our public
transport standards, and favorable payment terms when choosing the partner”
