Mongolian heads of mission convene

/MONTSAME/ A meeting of the heads of Mongolian diplomatic missions abroad is
taking place on December 12-19.
In his
opening remarks, Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar highlighted that the
officials have been actively engaged in ensuring favorable external environment
for the country’s security and development, fostering economic growth,
increasing trade and investment, defending the rights of Mongolian citizens and
legal entities overseas, and promoting Mongolia for thorough realization of the
government’s action plan.
“Mongolia’s foreign service has played an important part in achieving the first-ever increase of the country’s total trade turnover to approximately USD 13 billion, continuous rise of foreign direct investments, as well as the country’s economic growth of 6.9 percent in 2018 and 7.3 percent in the first half of 2019”
“Mongolia has established diplomatic relations with 192 countries and there are only 2 more countries left to have diplomatic relations with all member countries of the United Nations. Mongolia has joined over 70 international organizations, established 1222 bilateral agreements, and adopted 287 multilateral international agreements,” he underlined.
The
participants of the meeting got acquainted with railroad construction works in
Zuunbayan and called on the President and Prime Minister of Mongolia.
