Minister of Transport takes part in ‘Transport Week-2019’

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Annual ‘Transport Week-2019’ wrapped up on Friday, November 22 in Russia.


Member of the Parliament, Minister of Road Transport Development of Mongolia B.Enkh-Amgalan, who is on a visit to Russia at the invitation of Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Dietrich, took part in the forum during his. In his speech at the section "Transportation – the basis for Eurasian Integration", he emphasized that the shortest road and rail link between Asia and Europe is through Mongolia.




He said, "As bilateral trade turnover between Russia and China as well as Europe and Asia is growing year by year, Mongolia is willing to use its geographic location advantage by transiting trade between two neighbors and Eurasia, moreover, keen to be connected with the regional transportation and logistics system."


Emphasizing the importance of coherently developing "Development Path" program of Mongolia, "Eurasian Economic Union" of Russia and "Belt and Road" initiative of China, establishing a comprehensive transport network and expanding the cooperation, Minister of Transport of Mongolia also expressed that Mongolia will be an active and trustworthy partner of this transport network.




In his speech at the "Transportation Week-2019", Russia's Transport Minister Y.Dietrich emphasized Mongolia's significance in the Eurasian transport network.


In the framework of "Transport Week-2019", transportation digital systems, auto and rail transport in the Eurasian region, cooperation in auto, air and waterway transportation fields were discussed.
