Bichigt border crossing point facilities to be renovated

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At the Cabinet’s irregular meeting held on November 19, L.Oyun-Erdene, Chief of Cabinet Secretariat delivered a report of the Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh’s working trip to Sukhbaatar and Dornod aimags on November 7 and 8.
After hearing the presentation, the Cabinet made following decisions.
The cabinet resolved to study the possibilities to have the railway lane in Sainhsand-Altanshiree-Khuut run over the Baruun-Urt city. Also, the soft loan to be granted by the Asian Development Bank will be spent for renovation of facilities and equipment of the Bichigt border crossing point in Sukhbaatar aimag.
In addition, relevant officials were charged to study the issue of energy supply for the Bichigt border point from China until domestic energy source is provided, recycle, destroy and neutralize oil and liquid chemical waste and oil made from production and drilling phases using environmentally safe methods and dispose of chemicals that are expired or no longer serves for operational requirements.
Moreover, corresponding ministers were ordered to complete the extension work of the Choibalsan thermal power plant by 50 MW on time ready for commissioning.
Governor of Sukhbaatar aimag J.Erdenebat was given an order to study and carry out the establishment of an administrative unit /small unit - bag/ on the present territory of Bichigt border point.
