Mongolian tourism promoted at Tourism Expo Japan

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mongolian tourism is being promoted at Tourism Expo Japan, taking place on October 24-28 in Osaka, Japan. A working group headed by N.Tserenbat, Minister of Environment and Tourism is organizing the promotional activities and a seminar to promote Mongolian tourism was held with attendance of representatives of Japanese tourism companies, professional associations and researchers.
Tourism Expo Japan is a comprehensive tourism event and the world’s largest annual festival. Taking this opportunity, the third meeting of tourism ministers of 18 countries was held. At the meeting, tourism ministers shared views on supporting sustainable development of tourism and achieving sustainable development goals.
Minister
N.Tserenbat informed of a training, which involved over
10 thousand people, for establishment of unified standards of tourism and hospitality
service, implementing projects on sustainable tourism in Khuvsgul and Khentii
aimags with ADB’s soft loan, and introducing advanced information technology
into tourism sector as well as others.
