Cabinet meeting in brief

At its regular meeting on September 18, the Cabinet discussed the following
issues.
-The Cabinet backed to implement four projects with the EBRD’s loan worth up to USD300 million. The projects are ‘Expansion of Ulaanbaatar-Darkhan road with new two-lane road’, the construction of infrastructure of the ‘Darkhan Leather Complex’ project, ‘Choir-Sainshand transmission line, substation project’ and ‘Ulaanbaatar city heating network’.
-After
discussing the revised bill on protection of consumers’ rights, the Cabinet
backed to submit it to the parliament for consideration. The bill has reflected
rights of consumers and duties of producers, sellers and executors, powers of
public organizations, local self-governing organizations and non-government
organizations on protecting rights of consumers, as well as duties
and functions of related public organizations.
-The Cabinet
backed a draft of intergovernmental agreement between Mongolia and Ukraine on the
mutual exemption of visa requirements. As the agreement is signed, all types of
passport holders of both countries can travel without visa for up to 90 days.
