Finance Minister receives ADB Country Director

Ch.Khurelbaatar met ADB Country Director for Mongolia Ms.Yolanda Fernandez
Lommen in connection with the latter’s completion of her mission in Mongolia.
Minister Ch.Khurelbaatar thanked Ms. Yolanda for her great support
and close cooperation to have projects and programs with socio-economic
significance for Mongolia approved and implemented projects which aims to
diversify fundamental economic sectors, reduce negative impacts on social
vulnerable groups during the difficulty, improve social
welfare service and develop infrastructure, and for having been a confident
partner who have exchanged opinions frankly at the policy level.
At the meeting, Minister Ch.Khurelbaatar presented to Ms.
Yolanda the Letter of Gratitude given by the Prime Minister of Mongolia in
recognition of her valuable contributions to Mongolia-ADB partnership.
During
the past four years, the ADB in partnership with Mongolian
government has been successfully implementing over 20 projects, including
improvement of energy distribution to western region of Mongolia, increasing
people’s accessibility to social basic services, renewing waste water treatment
plants in 10 aimags, developing checkpoint infrastructure, developing
eco-tourism in Khuvsgul Lake National Park and Onon-Balj National Park,
establishing affordable eco-house as well as others.
