Russia's Alexandrov Ensemble performs in Ulaanbaatar

Within the framework of the 80th-anniversary celebration of the Victory of the Khalkhin Gol Battle, the 132-member Alexandrov Ensemble of the Russian armed forces conducted by Colonel G.K.Sachenkyuk, Honored Cultural Worker of Russia and Artistic Director and Senior conductor, performed at the central square of Ulaanbaatar in the evening of August 28. 

 

The honorary concert of the Russian army choir for the Khalkhin Gol Battle anniversary began with a performance of state anthem of Mongolia and further continued with Russia’s most famous military marches and songs. During the concert, Governor of the Capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city S.Amarsaikhan delivered remarks, expressing gratitude for the artists of the ensemble choir, orchestra and dance ensemble who entertained the Mongolia people this day. 

 

In the scope of the celebration events for the Khalkhin Gol Battle Victory in 1939, numerous events are being organized in the capital city Ulaanbaatar and Khalkhgol soum of Dornod aimag these days in cooperation with the Russian side and the performance by the Alexandrov Ensemble is one of them.
