Deputy Foreign Minister pays call on Foreign Minister of Vietnam

/MONTSAME/ A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign affairs B.Battsetseg
on August 29 paid a call on Member of Politburo of the Communist Party, Deputy
Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of
Vietnam Phạm Bình Minh.
Commending the results of this year’s consultative meeting between Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Vietnam, Deputy PM Phạm Bình Minh emphasized that Vietnam attaches great significance to its relations with Mongolia. He mentioned this year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries that have traditional friendly ties and he endeavor to further strengthen bilateral political relations and regularize high-level visits.
The sides also had discussions about working on further raising bilateral trade to USD 100 million. Deputy Minister B.Battsetseg proposed joining forces to elevate bilateral relations to the next level and showed interest in getting the country’s support in expanding Mongolia’s cooperation with ASEAN while deepening bilateral relations.
Mr. Phạm Bình Minh voiced Vietnam’s readiness to cooperating dynamically at regional and international level and closely work together within cooperation mechanisms including the ASEAN Regional Forum as the nation will chair the ASEAN next year.
