Uvurkhangai aimag to partner with France in tourismSociety
Uvurkhangai /MONTSAME/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Mongolia Philippe Merlin put forth a request to work in partnership with Uvurkhangai aimag in the tourism sector. The Ambassador made a working visit in the aimag and held a meeting with the aimag governing body to discuss projects being currently implemented and opportunities for further partnership.
Establishing partnership with Allier prefecture of France in 2001, certain works on the sectors of health, agriculture and education have been done in Uvurkhangai aimag so far. The two sides highlighted that the consistent partnership and projects that were realized especially in the health sector have shown great results.
“We saw the necessity to partner in the tourism sector. As the aimag is one of the aimags that attract many tourists, it is possible to improve the aimag’s economy by developing tourism. A lot of work has to be done by not only the aimag, but also the Government,” said the Ambassador.
