‘The Sun over the Placid World’ art festival to take place in Dundgobi

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘The Sun over the Placid World’ art festival will be held at the first open-air theater of Mongolia in the Ikh Gazriin Chuluu Nature Reserve, Gurvansaikhan soum, Dundgobi aimag from August 9 to 11.
At the festival, 3000 long song singers and horse-fiddle players will gather to present a grand concert – ‘Melodic offerings for the Eternal Sky’. Alongside the festival, folk art concert, poetry event, and performance of the artist from Dundgobi aimag will be held.
Many more interesting events such as ‘Sun Ceremony’, a welcoming ceremony for the rising sun, performances depicting Mongolian life, culture, and customs, ‘Blue Wind’ international painting exhibition, miniature Naadam festival, Fermented Mare Milk Festival, and ‘Mongolian Attire’ fashion show will take place.
The 18m-radius open-air theater at a height of 1.4m from the ground was established in honor of Hero of Labor, State Prize laureate, People’s Actor, renowned long song singer of Mongolia N.Norovbanzad.
