38 films to compete in Altan Khalis International Film Festival

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The films selected for the official competition section of the 7th Altan Khalis International Film Festival, organized by the Mongolian Film Institute, has been recently announced. From the 480 films of 64 countries received, 38 short films were selected for this year's film festival.
The organizers highlighted that the selected films are of the narrative and experimental categories, and that of the 449 films submitted from other countries, 19 films were selected.
This includes four films from the U.S., three films from Switzerland, two films from Germany, two films from France as well as films from Austria, Belgium, China, Russia and Japan. The country with the most submissions was the U.S. with 88 short films.
With the grand prize as the Altan Khalis trophy, the award ceremony will take place on June 4-8.
