Article on ‘Whole Liver-Mongolia’ programme to be published on international magazine

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In aims of giving support to the operations of the ‘Whole Liver-Mongolia’ programme being implemented in Mongolia, WHO Western Pacific Region epidemiologist Lynn Vi Lee and WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis epidemiologist Nicole Romero worked in Ulaanbaatar between April 11-18.

They held a meeting with the corresponding officials for the ‘Whole Liver-Mongolia’ programme of the Ministry of Health, WHO, General Authority for Health Insurance, Health Development Center, National Center for Communicable Diseases, National Cancer Center and the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, giving advice on analyzing the data on nationwide hepatitis B and C tests and diagnosis as well as what they should focus on to have an article on the program published on an international magazine.


The WHO Western Pacific Region experts then became acquainted with the progress of the joint research on factors of acute hepatitis C virus infection being done by the Ministry of Health, National Center for Communicable Diseases and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S., and gave advice.
