Technical Assistance Project on construction waste management and recovery to be implemented

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 12, the Ministry of Construction and
Urban Development and the Caritas Czech Republic international organization
established a Memorandum on jointly implementing the project ‘Improving
resource-efficiency and cleaner production in the Mongolian construction sector
through materials recovery’ with support of the European Union and Czech
Development Agency.
The memorandum was signed by State Secretary of the Ministry of
Construction and Urban Development S.Magnaisuren and Jana Zilkova, Caritas Czech
Republic Head of Mission in Mongolia.
Within the Memorandum, the sides will cooperate in assessing current
state of construction waste management and testing recycled products; enhancing
and developing relevant laws; increasing awareness and knowledge of manufacturers,
public, and those concerned of the recycled waste products, waste management,
and relevant laws and introducing waste recovery.
The sides agreed to devise a joint plan of action and carry it out through corresponding departments in the future.
