Energy Minister visits Luxembourg

Mongolian representatives led by Minister of Energy Ts.Davaasuren paid a visit
to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The delegation was comprised of Advisor to the
Energy Minister Ts.Sukhbaatar and Head of Renewable Energy Division at the
Ministry of Energy O.Bavuudorj.
During his
visit, the Minister worked at the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg
City, meeting with its Vice-President Alexander Stubb. The sides talked about the
features and current state of Mongolia’s energy sector as well as opportunities
for cooperation with EIB in the sector. Present at the meeting were Ambassador
of Mongolia to Luxembourg O.Och and other relevant officials.
Moreover, Minister
Ts.Davaasuren and Mr. Alexander Stubb exchanged views on possibilities of introducing
smart energy solutions to Mongolia’s energy sector, raising energy efficiency,
and improving renewable energy facilities, especially hydroelectric power
plants.
