Ultrasound machines presented to hospitals

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Health presented 34 ultrasound machines to health centers of nine districts, hospitals and regional diagnostic and treatment center of 21 aimags, the First and Second Central Hospitals, the National Center for Communicable Diseases and the National Cancer Center.
The HI VISION Avius ultrasound system is equipped with the latest 4D technology to detect cirrhosis and cancer at its early stages as well as can be used for many kinds of diagnosis, including echocardiography and obstetrical ultrasound.
As changes and accurate size of tumor in the liver can be evaluated, the officials noted the importance of the ultrasound system in effectively implementing the national health campaign, ‘Whole Liver-Mongolia’.
