PM meets Ambassador of India

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh today met with the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Mongolia, Mohinder Pratap Singh.


At the meeting, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh said India is one of the key regional partners of Mongolia and the country attaches special significance to its strategic partnership with India while citing that political relations between Mongolia and India have been developing greatly. He then showed a willingness to continue the political talks and increase the frequency of high-level visits. Moreover, the Prime Minister expressed his hope that the Ambassador would take the initiative in bringing bilateral trade and economic cooperation to a new level.



Having noted that Mongolia is an important friend and a regional partner of India, Ambassador M.P.Singh expressed he would make big efforts  into developing relations and cooperation between the two countries. 


The sides also talked on the oil refinery project, agreeing that it will be a milestone in bilateral cooperation. In regard with this matter, the Ambassador informed that the Indian part is working to secure the additional funding, train Mongolian engineers and technicians to work in the refinery, open representative office of Engineers India Ltd in Ulaanbaatar and to increase Indian government scholarship quota.
