National public speaking competition in English approaches

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The English Speaking Union of Mongolia has announced the 15th National Public Speaking Competition in English aimed at promoting young people’s participation and improving their public speaking skills.
Applicants must be between 16 and 20 years old, citizen of Mongolia, university or high school student and speak English at higher than intermediate level. The competition will be held in two stages. Eligible participants will prepare a three-minute speech for the first stage on the topic ‘Nature is a common language’ and deliver it on March 1 in Ulaanbaatar and March 2 in Darkhan city respectively. Selected 12 contestants will be required to prepare a five-minute speech on the same topic for the second stage to be held on March 15 in the capital.
The winner will participate in the International Public Speaking Competition 2019 to be held in May in London.
