Deputy Foreign Minister attends closing ceremony of diplomatic relations anniversary

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On February 19, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg attended a ceremony to conclude celebrations of 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

During the closing ceremony, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UK to Mongolia Mr. Phillip Malone said that a train decorated with flags of Mongolia and the UK would travel from south to north across the country, running on the route Selenge-Zamyn Uud. He also informed that it is intended to publicize bilateral cooperation in trade, education and environment sectors.

Deputy Minister B.Battsetseg emphasized actively developing bilateral  relations and cooperation in trade, economy, culture and educational sectors.

The 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between two countries was celebrated in 2018. Within the anniversary, arts and cultural events were organized in Ulaanbaatar and London.
