Young Mongolian musician wins prize from the int'l competition

musician N.Byambadorj won the prize of Toolbox Percussion International
Composition Competition, which was held in Hongkong on January 12-17.
According to the
source, nearly 500 musicians submitted their works to the
competition, of whom N.Byambadorj made it into TOP-10 and then selected as one
of the three finalists. In the final stage, along with N.Byambadorj,
participants from the US, China, Thailand, Macau, and Germany were selected as
well.
About his achievement,
N.Byambadorj said, “I am so happy that I successfully participated in the
international competition, representing both Mongolia and South Korea. I was
awarded a percussion instrument.”
The artist graduated
from the Mongolian State Conservatory in 2013. The same year, N.Byambadorj
received an invitation from the Stanford Youth Orchestra and gained experience there for one month. During his university years, he has served
as a senior percussionist of the third- and fourth-year students of the Korean
National University of Arts.
