Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ’State with no stamp’ history play by People’s Writer, State Prize Laureate B.Lkhagvasuren will be staged on January 18-20 at the State Academic Theatre of Drama.

The three-act tragedy directed by Ch.Naidandorj first premiered in 1998. After 10 years break, the play has been staged annually since 2010.

The tragedy tells the story of Xiongnu King Archug and his grief about his son, who is insidious and suffers from paralysis. The king decides to kill his son as he was not suitable for the throne.  As King Archug executes his son he says ‘To execute your own child is hard, but not harder than the threats to the state. So be it’. It is an act of self-sacrifice for the state and his people.
