Cabinet approves regulations regarding public servants

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ In connection with the Revised Law on Public Service that has come into effect from this January 1, the Cabinet discussed and approved regulations regarding public servants during its regular meeting on January 9. The regulations say that public servants will be granted cash and tangible awards and bonuses, such as memorial items, state awards and orders and quarterly cash incentives.  

For instance, the maximum amount of one-time non-refundable allowance which is granted to a public servant at the time of his/her retirement is fixed to be not less than 36-month basic salary. Moreover, one-time assistance that equals 60-month salary will be granted to the family of public servant who lost life when executing official duty.

Teachers of state and local-owned kindergartens will receive quarterly cash bonus which is equal up to 20 percent of their monthly basic salary based on their work result. Moreover, the staff of the state and local-owned schools and kindergartens will receive quarterly cash bonus which will equal up to 15 percent of their monthly basic salary.  

Teachers and staff of the vocational education and training institutes will also receive quarterly cash bonus equals up to 10 percent of their monthly basic salary.
