ChildFund Japan launches new project in Uvurkhangai

Uvurkhangai /MONTSAME/ ChildFund Japan has started implementing their second project in Uvurkhangai aimag.

 

With the financing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the project named ‘Supporting the Principle in Promoting Equal Opportunities for Education for Mongolian Children’ will be realized from April 2018 till 2021.

 

The project targets children with special needs education and all children to promote equal education regardless of their differentiation in learning, different needs, language, social origin, and financial capability.

 

The Second general education school of Arvaikheer soum has been involved in the project. So far, activities such as training for enhancing primary teachers’ capacity and establishing a parent council of children with disabilities were carried out.

 

Moreover, the project organizers are planning to involve another school and closely cooperate with over 500 children with disabilities.

 

Previously, ChildFund Japan successfully realized the project ‘Enhancing Primary Education Performance of Children from Herder Households in Remote Area’ in 10 soums of Uvurkhangai aimag between 2012 and 2016.
