Concert version of ‘Prince Igor’ to be staged
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The concert version of opera ‘Prince Igor’ by renowned Russian composer Alexander Borodin will be performed for the first time at the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
A.Borodin wrote ‘Prince Igor’ for 19 years and passed away in 1887, leaving the opera unfinished. It was edited and completed by N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov and A.K.Glazunov, and premiered at the Mariinsky Theatre in 1890.
The concert version will be staged on December 1,2.
