60th liver transplantation surgery conducted

The 60th liver transplantation surgery has been successfully
performed at the State Central First Hospital on November 16. The surgery started at 7 am on November 16 and
finished at 11pm.
The liver transplant team
of the hospital conducted its first liver transplant surgery in 2011 in
collaboration with Asan Medical Center of the Republic of Korea.
About the surgery,
Head of Organ Transplant Center at the Hospital, Meritorious Doctor of
Mongolia, Medical Sciences Doctor, Professor O.Sergelen said “The surgery was
made to 45 year-old woman. Team of 35 surgeons and nurses and over 60 people in
total worked for the surgery. Our hospital plans to perform 24 surgeries
this year of which 4 are not conducted yet. We always keep in touch with our
patients who had surgery.”
The surgical team fully ensured its preparation to perform the 61st surgery on November 23.
