President visits High-Tech Park in Azerbaijan
PoliticsUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga who is paying a working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan got acquainted with the operations of the High Tech Park, Azer-Ilme Carpet-Weaving Center, and Heydar Aliyev Center on September 25.
According to its Executive
Director Nazim Shukurov, the High Tech Park, established in 2016 under the
Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences at the initiative of President Ilham
Aliyev, aims to increase government assistance in ensuring sustainable economic
growth, increasing its competitiveness, expanding modern scientific and
technological reform and the scope of high technology, conducting research,
introducing new technology, and establishing modern complexes.
The Park’s authorities and
scientists reported to President Battulga that over 200 types of products had
been invented using oil, the main driving force of the economy of Azerbaijan.
Moreover, mass production of over 50 petroleum and cosmetic products has begun.
President of the Azerbaijan
National Academy of Sciences Akif Alizadeh said to President Battulga, “A
developing country should establish such a technology park and run it
efficiently. We will be happy to share our experience with Mongolia.”
Furthermore,
President Battulga visited the Azer-Ilme Carpet-Weaving Center. According to
Director and Founder of the Center Vidadi Muradov, the Center produces luxury
carpets, the national brand of Azerbaijan, using traditional and modern
technologies.
President Battulga also
visited the Heydar Aliyev Center, which aims to study the principles of late
leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in depth and promote the culture, history,
and traditional values of Azerbaijan.
It was reported to President
Battulga that Azerbaijan attached great significance to the construction of the
unique Center which was designed by late architect Zaha Hadid. The Center,
occupying 57.5 thousand square meters area, was inaugurated in 2012. Today,
numerous events, including conferences, symposiums, and exhibitions, are held
at the Center.
President Battulga left his
signature on the book of honorary guests of the Heydar Aliyev Center.
