Defense Minister visits 232nd battalion in Bischofswiesen

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ An official visit of Defense Minister
N.Enkhbold to The Federal Republic of Germany is continuing. Within the visit,
the Minister visited 232nd Mountain Infantry Battalion in
Bischofswiesen, Bavaria. The battalion’s authorities and staff introduced the
Defense Minister about its activities and showed an exercise.
Earlier, the military staff from the 232nd battalion arrived in Mongolia in 2014 and 2016 to co-organize training for Mongolian military
contingent for peacekeeping operations in the Islamic
Republic of Afghanistan.
During his visit, Defense Minister also held official meetings with Jan Hecker, Foreign Policy Advisor to Federal Chancellor, and Dr. Fritz Felgentreu, member of the Bundestag and member of the Defense Committee in the Buntestag. At the meetings, the sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and cooperation.
