Speaker receives members of National Assembly of Republic of Korea

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 16, Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia M.Enkhbold received representatives led by Chairman of Standing Committee on Environment and Labor of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.  
 
The Speaker expressed his delight at meeting with the National Assembly members who arrived to attend an event with an aim to develop inter-parliamentary friendly ties.
 
Mentioning that Mongolia’s economy has been reviving for the last two years, reaching 6.3 percent of economic growth and construction works are being developed, the Speaker noted that products made in Korea make up certain amount of Mongolia’s import, and the volume is rising constantly. “The parliaments of the two countries should pay attention on expansion of this relations further, ensuring to continue without barriers. If we can build proper legal environment, it will be significant to develop more efficient cooperation involving more sectors and  citizens.”    
 
“I signed an agreement on establishment of sister-city relations between Ulaanbaatar and Seoul cities 18 years ago and since that time cooperation between provinces of the two countries has been expanding. I believe that you all would focus attention on  broadening this cooperation. Members of Mongolian Parliament will work in this direction as well,” said the Speaker.   
 
Mongolia holds position for the security of Northeast Asia and peaceful coexistence and resolving issues through negotiations, emphasized the Speaker and expressed his pleasure at the progress in relations between the two Koreas in the recent years. 
 
Chairman of Standing Committee on Environment and Labor underlined that the Parliament of Mongolia decided to make amendments to  the appendix of the parliamentary resolution on ‘Approval of State Policy on Civil Aviation Sector until 2020’ last June and expressed his confidence that through the amendment proper  condition would be created for expansion of businesses and people-to-people relations of the two countries.
