Speaker receives Lao delegation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 14, Speaker of the Parliament M.Enkhbold met with a delegation led by Khammanh Sounvileuth, Minister of Home Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic who are on a visit to Mongolia.

Speaker M.Enkhbold stressed the continuity of bilateral high-level political relations, especially intensification of the relations between legal bodies of the two countries, and expressed willingness to study experience of civil service principles and structure as the delegation is paying a visit when preparations are ongoing for enforcement of newly revised law on Public Service of Mongolia.  

Afterwards, he voiced hope that the sides will discuss issues such as barriers in developing bilateral relations and cooperation and improving legal environment required for intensifying cooperation during the meeting of Mongolia-Laos intergovernmental commission which will be held in November, 2018 in Ulaanbaatar and commented Mongolia will support  proposals for creation of favorable legal environment.

Mr. Khammanh Sounvileuth said the delegation got acquainted with the revised law on Public service, mentioning that aim of their visit is to exchange views and experiences and expand further cooperation.

The Speaker emphasized the sides shall pay attention on potential of Laos to import meat and meat products that meets international standards from Mongolia and cooperate fruitfully in increasing export and import rates of mining and agricultural products. Moreover, he showed his expectation that Laos will support Mongolia’s interest in actively taking part in activities of Asia-Pacific regional trade and economic organizations.

In turn, the Minister fully supported the proposals and underlined that both sides should put efforts into the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
